Ravish Kumar is one of the popular anchors, working for NDTV and currently moderates Prime Time on NDTV India, daily at 9PM.
Ravish is one of those names in the history of Indian Journalism which will never fade and will be always remembered. Not because he had an amazing style of storytelling but because he had never failed in bringing out the truth in the most unbiased way.
As Journalism stands on the core of truth, justice and investigation, today is the time when Indian Media has received criticism for acting too biased on several issues and running media trials, especially on sensitive issues like rape, abduction and murder. At a same time, there are only few journalists like Ravish Kumar who have lived up to the expectation of a common man, who wants to listen nothing but the truth.
The best part of Ravish Kumar’s reporting is the way he unfold the facts and brings out his analysis which is not partial in any way. He makes sense and gives logic, for what he is famous for.
Although he covers vast range of topics but I find his political reporting truly amazing and worth watching. Prime Time, of which he remain the main moderator, brings in several experts and unlike other shows and anchors he offers the chance to speak to other experts as well.
In a nutshell, I consider Prime Time as one of the best news shows in recent times. But I have to also say, there is nothing black or white, somethings are best if remain grey. Its good, if they bring out the truth but most of the times it should be left to the viewers to decide on what they want to believe.
Its sad, that some news channels try to mold viewer’s thoughts. They show only a part of the fact which they want us to see instead of leaving it to us, to a common man. They have forgotten that their job is to show UN-Manipulated version of truth. Hence, if some party is doing that, its the time to commend them!
